Download Procedure 

At this stage, only download the file – do not run it yet. 

  1. Create a folder to store the downloaded file. 

*In this example, the folder is named “Update” and created on the C drive. 
*Use only alphanumeric characters for the folder name. Using double-byte characters, spaces, or special characters may prevent the program from running correctly. 

  1. Review the “Software License Agreement”. 
  1. After reviewing, click the [Agree and Download] and download the update program to the folder created in step 1.  
  1. After downloading the program, refer to the next section, “How to Apply Program and Pre-Application Checks”, to install the program. 
  1. After applying the update program, delete the “Update” folder created in step 1. 

How to Apply Program and Pre-Application Checks 

■Pre-Application Checks 

  • Apply this program only if the “Intel® Graphics Driver” version is “Ver. 32.0.101.7085” or earlier. 
  • For the models listed below, when applying this program, be sure to also apply the update program specified below or verify that the installed version is the same as or later than the version provided by the update program below. 
    Applicable models: VJS124*, VJS144*, VJZ141*, VJZ142*

  • Applying this program may take several minutes to complete. Please do not perform any operations while the update is in progress and wait until the update has finished. 
  • After applying this program, be sure to restart your PC. 
  • This program is also distributed via Windows Update. When this update is applied through Windows Update, the display may briefly go black or exhibit temporary screen distortion. This behavior is expected and does not indicate a problem with the system. 

  

■How to Apply Program 

  1. Close all applications currently running on Windows. 
  1. Open [PC (Computer)] – [Local Disk (C:)] – [Update] folder (the folder where you downloaded the file) and double-click the [SP000888.exe] file. 
  1. The following dialog box will appear, so review the message and click [OK]. 
  1. When the User Account Control (UAC) screen appears, select [Yes] to begin applying the program. 

Notes

Applying this program may take several minutes to complete. Please wait until the dialog box stating “Setup completed successfully.” is displayed. 
The screen may briefly go black or display temporary distortion during the update process. This is expected behavior. Please wait until the update has been completed. 

  1. The following dialog box will appear, so review the message and click [OK]. The PC will restart automatically. 

After completing these steps, the process is finished. 

About Silent Installation 

This update program supports silent installation from the command prompt (updating without displaying dialog boxes). 

To perform a silent installation, follow the steps below. 

  1. Place the update program in any desired location. 
    *In this example, it is placed in C:\Update. 
  1. Launch the Command Prompt with administrator privileges. 
  1. Run the following command: 

C:\Update\SP000888.exe /vpm_noninteractive 

*Alternatively, you can set the current directory using the cd command and then run “SP000888.exe /vpm_noninteractive”. 

The silent installation will start. 

No completion message will be displayed. If you need to confirm completion timing or results, create a batch file and check the return code. 
Please restart the system by using a command or other method appropriate for the returned exit code. 

Return Codes:  

  

Success: 0, 14, 259, 3010  
　　　0: Restart at your convenience.  
　　　14, 3010: A restart is required. The system may not function properly without it.  
　　　259: The same version is already installed, or the module is not applicable.  

  

Failure: Any return code other than those listed above 

How to Check if the Program Has Been Successfully Applied 

  1. Open [Device Manager]. 
  1. Double-click [Display adapters]. 
  1. Double-click [Intel® Wi-Fi ***** Graphics] (*****indicates an arbitrary value) to display properties. 
  1. Click the [Driver] tab and check the displayed version number. If the version is “32.0.101.7085”, the update has been applied successfully.
