Functions to be added 

A “Soft Skin Effect” item has been added to the camera settings in “VAIO Control Center”.

A “Battery Saving Settings” item has been added to the camera settings in “VAIO Control Center”.

This version also includes functions that were added to the previous version.

Add setting items to “VAIO Control Center” that allows various corrections to be made to camera images.

Adds a microphone-linked mode when the Speaker AI Noise Cancelling function is enabled for speaker output to the Sound item in the “VAIO Control Center”.

Issues to be resolved

Fixed an issue where switching the “Sensor” setting in “VAIO Control Center” between ON and OFF might not function as intended.

This version also includes fixes for the following issues that were fixed in the previous version.

Improved the issue where the “Battery Saving Settings” in “VAIO Control Center” did not operate properly under Windows 11 24H2.

Improved the issue where the LCD brightness would become darker when the AC adapter was plugged in and unplugged when the “Battery Saving Settings” in “VAIO Control Center” was enabled.

Improved stability of operation.

Download procedures

Prepare a folder to store the downloaded file.

*In this explanation, we will use a folder named “Update” created on C Drive.
*Please use only single-byte alphanumeric characters for the folder’s name.
If you use double-byte characters, single-byte spaces, special characters, etc., the program cannot be executed correctly.

Confirm the “Software License Agreement”.

Click the [Agree and Download] button and download the update program to the folder created in Step 1.

After downloading the program, apply the program by referring to the “How to apply the program and prior confirmation” below.

For now, just download and do not run the file. After applying the update program, delete the “Update” folder created in Step 1.

How to apply the program and prior confirmation

■Prior confirmation

This program should be applied only when the version of “VAIO Firmware Extension Parser Driver” is “Ver.2.4.1.1190” or earlier.

To enable the functions added to “VAIO Control Center” by applying this program, please also apply the following related update programs.

*“VAIO Control Center” will be automatically updated from the Microsoft Store when connected to the internet after the “VAIO Firmware Extension Parser Driver” update program is applied.

This program is also distributed via Windows Update. Note that depending on your environment, the software may be updated to “Ver.2.4.1.1190” or later versions but can still be used without any issues.

Always restart your PC after applying this program.

■How to apply the program

Close all applications running on Windows.

Open the [PC (Computer)] – [Local Disk (C:)] – [Update] folder (the folder where you downloaded the file) and double-click the [SP000855.exe] file.

The following dialog will appear, so review the content and click [OK].

When the [User Account Control] screen appears, click [Yes]. It will begin applying the program.

Click [OK] if the following dialog appears. PC will restart automatically.

This completes all procedures.

How to confirm that the program has been applied

Open [Device Manager].

Double click [Human Interface Devices].

Double click [VAIO Firmware Extension Parser Device].

Properties will appear, so click the [Driver] tab.

If the version is “2.4.1.1190”, it has been applied successfully.
